My payload release pin doesn't seem to workUpdated 3 months ago

NOTE— The first thing to note is that the drone has to be in a "Ready to fly" state, so everything has to be on and connected, including the Aeroo Fly app.

We also recently released an update that improved the responsiveness of the payload release function. When attempting the update, make sure you are at home and connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection.

Make sure you have updated your drone to the latest firmware version.

Which can be checked by
- Going to general settings
- Scrolling to the bottom
- Selecting "general purpose"

When using the payload release button on the remote,
- Using a short controlled press
- Do not hold the button down

The payload release pin may also be physically obstructed. However, you can remove the lower case panel from the drone without voiding your warranty.

NOTE— Please only attempt this if you are confident in your tinkering skills. You may cause further damage to your drone, and separating the 2 drone shell halves will void your warranty.

1. Unscrew the gimbal assembly and gently move it aside. Be careful not to damage the connecting cables.
2. Unscrew and remove the bottom panel.
3. Make sure that the pin is sitting in its channel for its entire length. If it has moved to either side, gently place it back in the channel.
4. Check to see if the pin head isn't bent to either side, which would prevent it from entering the hole in the drone frame. If it seems bent, gently bend it back in the right direction. To align it with the pinhole in the frame.

If your issue persists, please record a video and send it to us for review.
Rest assured, we can take up to 3 business days to review your video.
